I was the body nobody could explain.
A 2021 collapse. A year in bed. Eighteen months back — and a practice built on the work that saved me.
The Collapse
In 2021, my body turned on me. My heart rhythm went erratic, my nervous system misfired, and I lived with burning sensations, trouble swallowing, and relentless tinnitus — and nobody could tell me why.
Doctor after doctor, test after test, everything came back “normal.” If you've ever been told that while your body is falling apart, you know exactly how it feels.
A Year in Bed
I spent close to a year bedridden. There were days I wasn't sure I wanted to keep going — that is how dark a body nobody can explain becomes.
What I know now is that my body was never the enemy. It was doing its best under more than it could carry, and it needed someone to listen instead of fight.
This does not mean the body is broken. It means the body may be overwhelmed or under-supported.
The Way Back
What finally reached me was foot zoning — specifically the Integrative Foot Zoning developed by Amber Bodily. Session by session, my body started to remember what it had forgotten: how to function, regulate, and heal.
It took about eighteen months of consistent sessions. Not overnight, not a miracle — a steady, faithful return. I got my life back.
The Work Now
I trained because I had to understand how this worked. I completed the Integrative Foot Zoning Certification and Advanced Practitioner training under Amber Bodily herself, in a lineage that traces to Katri Nordblom.
Now I do for others what zoning did for me: I read bodies that have been dismissed everywhere else, and I help them remember how to heal.
I meet you with patience, not urgency.
